Dr Lindsley was the founding Director of a full service sleep-wake disorders center which became the second such center in all of New England to be nationally accredited   The Center opened its doors to patients on Halloween Night 1983!  A tough date to forget.   She then chose to move from a Hospital setting to her own private practice sleep disorders service.

She is on the Medical Advisory Board of Narcolepsy Network, and a member of the Lexington Youth Forum, an affiliation of mental health professionals in the community.  Through the Lexington Youth forum she sees Middle School and High School youngsters with difficulty falling/staying asleep or difficulty staying awake during the daytime.

Dr Lindsley has been invited to write numerous textbook chapters on a wide range of sleep-related topics such as Intimacy and Sexuality in people with narcolepsy; REM Sleep Behavior Disorder; Sleep Paralysis and numerous general chapters focusing on the psychophysiology of sleep.   As a member of the Lexington Youth Forum, she has written many articles in Lexington’s Colonial Times Parenting Matters section, on the topic of sleep in school aged young people.
